Indiana Community Garden Mission and Vision
The Indiana Community Garden was formed to educate others on how to improve quality of life, encourage self-reliance, produce nutritious food, reduce family food budgets and conserve resources through learning how to plant, harvest, cultivate and share idea's and techniques on gardening. The Garden is not only about education, but socialization. It is a great way to build connections with people and community groups, gaining volunteer experience through the many workshops, stimulating social interaction, and creating a space for recreation, exercise, and therapy. It also creates opportunities for people to make connections with other cultures and generations.
